Surface Noise Sour IPA

6.2% ABV

Our collaboration with good friends Beer Hut Brewing Co. where we have brewed the same beer in each brewery but dry hopped with a different blend of hops. Ours has been dry hopped with Citra and Simcoe. Besides the punch from the hops there is also an interesting passion fruit note coming from the yeast we used. It's a Sour IPA balanced with a malty sweetness from the grain bill.

With both breweries being big music fans and also being based on the coast in Portrush and Kilkeel, we had the idea of using an image for the label designs of the surface of the sea taken in each location. The music connection comes from a famous quote that the legendary radio DJ John Peel once said:

"Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise." - "I said, listen, mate, life has surface noise."
