Starry Utopias & Northern Lights

Truth be told, we’ve always been dreamers. The cooperative was born out of one of them. And in our dreams, there’s always been a rich silky stout.

It wasn’t an export stout. It wasn’t an imperial stout. It was a stout that took us to Utopia. It kicked off our launch evening, and our Salamander Series. It inspired our Portly Stout. After our first Whiskey Barrel Aged Stout, it came back again, so some of it could lay down and emerge as a Beautopian Stout.

It was the only stout to win the highest 3 star accolade at this year’s Great Taste Awards.

And people kept asking us: “Would you not make it all the time? And put it in a bigger bottle while you’re at it.”

So we have. Like the West Bay before it, we’re putting Utopian into our regular range. It’ll be available in both 330ml and 500ml bottles from this weekend.

“Where can I get it?” you might ask. Well, our friends in Northern Lights are celebrating their first birthday with a little festival, featuring a host of Northern Irish breweries.

It’s a pretty amazing line-up (details on their Facebook Page), and we’ll be there with some Utopian, Escudos, East the Beast, Half Hung, Mangoes Barefoot, 9 Rubies, and something new…

It’s very very black. It’s in an even bigger bottle. And it might just go to 11.

We can’t wait to share it with you. You’ll want to share it too.

But you’ll just have to dream about it until then.
